The ALS Environmental laboratory in Winnipeg provides a diverse scope of analytical services on soil, water, air, wastewater and biota matrices. We are a full-service testing laboratory, offering a comprehensive range of environmental testing and technical support that delivers convenience, efficiency and time-saving benefits to industries and consultants throughout Manitoba.
Testing services include environmental chemistry, microbiology, toxicology, industrial hygiene, quality systems, food safety, industrial processes, wastewater analysis and data management. Specialty services include taxonomic analysis (benthos, zooplankton, phytoplankton, fungus/mould), environmental & food microbiology and most recently, DNA analysis of bacterial isolates (Ribotyping) for contamination source tracking purposes. The Microbiology area offers ribotyping for specific bacteria as well as identification of pathogenic organisms in water (Cryptosporidium, Giardia, Legionella) and food (Listeria / Salmonella).
Our technical professionals are our strength, and we are dedicated to overcoming the environmental challenges of today and beyond. We invite and encourage you to take a tour of any of our 16 premiere laboratories throughout Canada.
